I’m a software engineer, but that’s never been the whole story.

I’ve spent years building things. I’ve done lots of infrastructure work and started plenty of ill-advised side project at midnight, heck, sometimes I even finished them! But I’ve spent just as much time moving through the world. Different cities, different light at different hours. I am learning to shoot photos of scenery that have been standing longer than anyone alive can remember, and I think a lot about why some places feel like they have a pulse and others don’t.

This blog is where those two sides of me meet. You’ll find technical writing alongside travel notes, photos next to half-finished ideas. Nothing is neatly categorized, but the website is not so big.

Pull up a chair. There will be notes, essays, and the occasional teapot.
